"Here, Here and Here", Meg and Dia

Meg and Dia still covers the same territory on their third debut, though now they added a new funky/country vibe, extending beyond the comfy shadows of a child's closetThe vocals drawl much like a child's ramblings; the lyrics, much like from some lost girl's diary. Laid back notes on the grounds of innocence, bits and pieces of small talks, this album came just in time for your summer isolation. Hook this up on a sunny (and rainy!) road trip (Check out I'm Going Away, The Last Great Star in Hollywood, Hug Me, What If), on a lazy day (Are There Giants Too, In The Dance?, Agree to Disagree), or simply on an idle night (Kiss You Goodnight, Fighting For Nothing, Here, Here and Here, Bored Of Your Love). Need a dose of emo? Don't miss "Inside My Head".
This time, the band has a high probability of hitting mainstream and their songs will surely mark, as Mozart pointed out "here, here and here," 'in your heart and mind and ears'!

If you want something to wedge between the Jonases and Chris Martin without trying too hard, My Favorite Highway's official debut How To Call A Bluff is not to be missed for its near-perfect package. Considering it is their first offical release after Anywhere But Here EP, you will be surprise about their tracks fused with rock. Bigger Than Love, Bittersweet Life, In My Heart, Simple Life, Steel City are filled with different facets of love and longing, and so are Entertain The Pain, Getaway Car, What Are You Waiting For, Walking On A Wire, The Chase. Say So, my personal fave, takes on a catchy rhythm of pop topping off the Jonas Brothers (watch out!) on centerstage.Labels: band, bouncy, feature, jumpy, ken chua, mainstream, music, my favorite highway, review
